Marches
Quality Meat producers look after their cattle in the
old fashioned way. The cattle are bred from beef breeds
cows and mated with pure bred beef bulls to produce "marbled"
meats thus offering better cooking quality and flavours. |

| All animals
are single suckled and graze with their mothers in the rich
grassland of the Marches, and mature slowly, again ensuring
the meat has an ideal texture. All winter feeds are based on
natural and healthy diets, excluding undesirable feeds. |
| Experienced
farmers care for their animals to the highest standards of welfare,
ensuring that they live in a stress free environment. |

| Sheep |
| The
natural grassland of the Marches provide the perfect environment
for lamb production. Many families have farmed sheep in
the Marches for years, using traditional farming practices
that have been passed down from generation to generation.
Many of the characteristic features of the Marches countryside
have evolved from these sustainable and balanced farming
methods. |

Marches Quality Meat lambs are reared naturally, and as with
our cattle producers all sheep producers adhere to nationally
recognised farm assurance schemes, giving you that extra confidence
in the food you buy. |

| Pigs |

Our
pig producers pay constant attention to the comfort and
well being of the pigs they keep. They combine both legislative
and voluntary measures to ensure a stress free environment.
Our producers abide by legislation yet to be introduced
for other major pig producing countries within Europe. |

work hard perfecting production techniques and installing modern
technologies to ensure that their pigs enjoy a life of contentment. |
|
|
Working
with selected processors, best practice of Marches Quality
Meat producers can trace each individual animal back to the
farm of origin. Every attention is given to animals during
transportation, and by using local processors, travelling
times are kept to a minimum reducing stress.
